Financial Aid Scams

    The great thing about Financial Aid is that applying for it is free!!

    NOBODY should ask you to pay for the application or any presentation of Financial Aid.

    Many parents have been scammed into paying $100-$1,000 for information on Financial Aid when this information can be obtained free here and by talking to school counselors.

    Letters are sometimes sent to students homes asking for a payment for guaranteed Financial Aid.  Do NOT pay.  If such a thing happens to you contact a school official.  Anything suspicious should be notified to the authorities.
